Kevin Smithson

Kevin leads the Washington DC Metro office of PwC which includes oversight of a group of over 2,400 professionals. Kevin is a tax partner with 25 years of experience serving broad industry sectors with a focus on multinational public companies in the real estate, tele-communications and pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. He leverages his tax expertise with his clients as a broader business advisor having managed large scale business transformations, overseen acquisition and divestiture planning, implemented global tax planning and managed workforce planning strategies.
Kevin received his bachelor's degree in Accounting from American University in Washington, DC and has lived in DC, New York and Boston. With a passion for investing in the community, Kevin is particularly focused on youth education and mental health, especially around opportunities for disadvantaged youth. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Greater Washington, Samaritans, Reading is Fundamental and Wolf Trap Foundation. He is an active member of The Economic Club of Washington DC, Greater Washington Board of Trade and The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Beth Smithson

Beth serves as Principal at Scopo Design, LLC and has built a distinguished career in interior design that spans almost three decades. Beth manages small to large-scale commercial interior projects and has experience across myriad industries, from health care to senior living and multi-family housing projects. With an eye for detail and a vision for innovative design solutions, Beth collaborates with architects, engineers and contractors to exceed client needs and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Beth received her bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts Studio and Art History at the College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts and a Master of Arts Design at Marymount University in Virginia. She enjoys continuing her work in purpose-driven design in helping various philanthropic organizations such as the YMCA and Samaritans.
