Retired Greater washington managing partner
EY
Kevin is a seasoned business leader, board member and financial expert with over 35 years of cross-sector experience in business strategy, P&L management, operations and governance.
For 15 years, Kevin led one of the largest and most dynamic markets in the country as Managing Partner of EY’s Greater Washington Region. In this role, he influenced over 5,000 people serving early-stage start-ups to Fortune 100 companies across critical industry sectors including government contracting, professional services, technology, real estate & hospitality and life sciences driving revenues of over $1B for the firm.
He was a Senior Partner at EY for over 35 years, serving in audit, consulting, transaction support and leadership roles across the firm. Kevin cultivated diverse experiences that allow him to bring a broad perspective to see challenges as opportunities.
After starting his career at EY, Kevin was a Director in the Business Development group of The Nasdaq Stock Market for three years. Kevin advised CEOs and investors on capital market transactions in one of the busiest periods in the IPO markets. Upon returning to the firm, he helped pioneer EY’s Center for Strategic Transactions – a transaction consulting practice focused on evaluating and executing optimal strategies for the owner’s desired outcomes. This led to the establishment of EY’s corporate development strategy where, as an active Board Member representing EY, Kevin would identify, negotiate and execute investments of EY capital into companies and offerings synergistic to firm strategy.
Kevin has significant experience as a board member and senior advisor to senior management teams, boards and audit committees. He also has expertise in providing strategic direction on governance topics including succession planning, organizational transformation, corporate responsibility and sustainability, board effectiveness, and diversity & inclusion.
Beyond Kevin’s current business endeavors, he has an unending passion for positively impacting underserved communities and mentoring at risk youth. He has either chaired or served on the board of the largest nonprofits focused on serving the Greater Washington community, including Catholic Charities of Washington, Goodwill of Greater Washington, United Way of the National Capital Area, HEROES, Inc., Junior Achievement of Greater Washington, Economic Club of Washington, Greater Washington Board of Trade and Mater Dei School.
