Todd Stottlemyer is CEO and a member of the board of directors of Acentra Health, a global healthcare technology solutions and services company headquartered in McLean, Virginia. Acentra Health combines technological ingenuity and clinical expertise to modernize the healthcare experience for state- and federal- partners and their priority populations and commercial organizations. Acentra Health is backed by Carlyle (NASDAQ: CG), a global investment firm.
Prior to Acentra Health, Stottlemyer served in multiple executive leadership roles as an Executive Vice President at the Inova Health System, a 25,000-employee healthcare organization serving the Washington, D.C., region. As CEO of the Inova Center for Personalized Health, he was responsible for the Inova Schar Cancer Institute, the Inova Translational Medicine Institute, and Inova’s clinical research programs.
Before Inova, Stottlemyer served as CEO and as a member of the board of directors of Acentia, a private equity backed (SnowPhipps Group) healthcare-focused information technology company (acquired by Maximus). Stottlemyer previously served as CEO and as a member of the board of directors of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), leading the nation’s largest business association (over 350,000 small and independent businesses across the U.S.); as co-founder and CEO of Apogen Technologies, a private equity backed (Arlington Capital Partners) information technology company (acquired by QinetiQ Group PLC); as President of McGuireWoods Consulting and Managing Director of McGuireWoods Capital Group; as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer of BTG, a publicly-traded information technology company (acquired by Titan; now L-3); and as Corporate Vice President and a member of the executive leadership team of BDM International, a two times publicly traded and private equity backed (Carlyle) information technology company (acquired by TRW; now Northrop Grumman).
A Northern Virginia resident, Stottlemyer is widely recognized as a civic and community leader, passionate about advancing economic growth through education and humanitarian support. He serves as Vice Chair of the Virginia Growth and Opportunity (GO Virginia) Board and on the executive committee of the Northern Virginia Technology Council, where he previously served as Chair. Stottlemyer also served as Chair of the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves on the boards of multiple professional and community organizations, including the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts. As a longtime member of the Virginia Business Higher Education Council (VBHEC), Stottlemyer collaborates with business, academic, and government leaders to increase public investment in education and expand pathways for student internships and workforce development.
Stottlemyer’s leadership has earned him recognition as one of the Washington Business Journal’s 100 most influential business leaders in the region and as one of Virginia Business magazine’s 50 most influential Virginians. Non-profit organization No Kid Hungry recognized him as a “Champion” for leading Northern Virginia technology executives in raising over $1 million to fight childhood hunger during the pandemic. Stottlemyer received the Northern Virginia Technology Council’s Hall of Fame Award for his lifetime contributions and leadership to the technology community and was given a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce for business excellence and lifetime achievements to the community. He received the Alumni Medallion Award from William & Mary, the highest and most prestigious award given by the William & Mary Alumni Association to individuals for their exemplary professional accomplishments, leadership in civic engagement in their communities, and service to the university.
Stottlemyer attended William & Mary, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A, and he received a Juris Doctor degree cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center. He also holds a Doctor of Public Service, Honoris Causa, from William & Mary.
